After a year away getting to grips with AI and its application across the various industries, I am placing a bet: agents will become the default interface for most knowledge work.

Not “a cool feature” and not “a chatbot bolted onto an app,” but the first place you go when you need something done—diagnosis, planning, execution, and follow-through. It feels like we have gone from a movement, a movement like – web + mobile → workflow apps + dashboards→ automation + low-code→ delegation to Agents.

Models like Claude Opus and GPT-family frontier models are increasingly capable at multi-step professional work and long-running tasks – I ask it to build me a Complex SQL server demo environment – multiple databases, complex designed tables with performant Stored procedures and functions –  it does it in seconds, remember when this used to take couple of hours. I have been building RAG based systems, Agent based apps, working with GPT and Claude models – this is where data is so important (still).
