I am sure many missed the updates to Azure SQL Database SLA (Service Level Agreement). It used to be 99.99% across all tiers but split between two different high-availability architectural models. Basic, Standard and General Purpose tiers had its own model and the Premium / Business Critical tiers had a different one.
Now with the latest update, as per https://azure.microsoft.com/en-gb/updates/azure-sql-db-published-first-in-industry-business-continuity-sla-for-a-relational-database-service/
“Azure SQL Database service has updated its service-level agreement (SLA) to provide up to 99.995% availability. In addition, for the Business critical service tier, it now offers a 100% SLA, backed by a full cost service credit for common business continuity metrics, including a 5-second recovery point objective (RPO) and 30-second recovery time objective (RTO)”
100% SLA is unheard of in the industry right?
